Monaqui Porter Young is President and CEO of MPGlobal Connect Inc., a start-up company launched to advance Monaqui’s vision of economic empowerment through sustainable development. MPGlobal Connect Inc. is the exclusive import and distribution company for Paradise Farm, a 90-acre rainforest in the mountainous region of Sri Lanka. Monaqui received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. She studied International Trade Management at Pace University’s School of International Trade and Commerce, specializing in import rules and regulations. Monaqui recently graduated from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, becoming a certified Holistic Health Practitioner specializing in digestive disorders and primary foods. She also received certification in Integrative Nutrition at Teachers College Columbia University. Monaqui has published articles and presented interactive workshops, guest lectures, and keynote speeches at universities and business organizations throughout the United States and abroad. Most recently, she was a guest speaker for the United Nations International Women’s Day in Bangkok, Thailand, where she spoke on commonalities of women - Strengthening the international relationship among women through commonalities. Monaqui currently serves as a board member for Equal Trade for Sustainability, and as a board member of Paradise Farm.
